Mobile Headlight Restoration LLC d/b/a Dallas Headlight Restoration ("we") is a mobile headlight restoration business serving Dallas and the surrounding Dallas–Fort Worth area. Mobile Headlight Restoration LLC is the filed entity; Dallas Headlight Restoration is the name it trades under and the one you will see everywhere else. This page explains what we collect, why, and what we do not do with it. It is written to describe what actually happens rather than to cover every hypothetical.

What we collect

When you text us. Your phone number, whatever you write, and any photos you send. These reach us through Twilio, our messaging provider.

When you submit the quote form. Your name, the phone number or email address you give us, and optionally your vehicle, a photo, and a message. Submissions are delivered and stored by Netlify, who host this site.

At the job itself. Photographs of your headlights before we start and after we finish, and the notes we make about the work.

When you visit this website. We run Google Analytics. It tells us how many people came, which pages they opened, and which link or printed code brought them here — the flyers, the yard signs, the van and the cards each carry a different one. It is how we find out which ones are worth printing again. It does not tell us who you are: no name, no phone number, no email address, and nothing you type into a form on this site is ever sent to it.

It works by setting two cookies in your browser, named _ga and one beginning _ga_. They hold a random number, which is what lets a second visit be recognised as the same browser instead of counted as a second person. That number is not your name and we never attach one to it. They are set by this website rather than by an advertising network, and clearing your cookies removes them. Your IP address goes to Google, which uses it to work out roughly which city you are in and then discards it — we never see it, and there is no way for us to look you up by it. Google deletes the underlying visit data after 14 months.

None of this is advertising. There is no advertising pixel on this site, we run nothing that follows you to other sites, and we do not sell or share what Analytics collects. If you would rather not be counted: Google's own opt-out add-on, any content blocker, and the tracking protection built into Firefox, Safari and Brave all stop it, and nothing on this site works any worse without it. Blocking third-party cookies alone will not — these are first-party ones, set by this domain.

What happens to your photo

Photos of a job we quote or carry out, we keep. Photos you text us, photos you send through the quote form, and the before-and-after pair we shoot at the job are all stored with your job record. They are how we quote accurately, how we remember what your headlights looked like before we touched them, and how a warranty claim gets settled during the year that follows.

The website does not keep a copy. Photos you send through the quote form on check.html are passed straight to us with your details and are not stored on this site at any point. They then live with your job record like any other photo you send us.

Your photo is looked at by a person, not by software. It is not sent to any automated image analysis service, and we do not use it to train anything.

Before-and-after photos we publish

We publish before-and-after photos on this website and on social media. Every one is a real customer vehicle — we do not use stock images.

We ask you first, at the job, and saying no costs you nothing. Nothing is published unless you told us we could. There is nothing to sign, the price does not change either way, and you can change your mind afterwards — tell us and we take it down.

When we do publish, we show the headlights and enough of the vehicle to make the difference visible. We obscure the license plate, and we never publish your name, your address, or anything else that identifies you. A photo taken on your driveway can still show your house; if that bothers you, say no, or ask us to shoot it somewhere else.

Who else sees your information

Three service providers handle what you send us, each for one job:

Google is a fourth, and it is a different kind. Google Analytics counts visits to these pages, as described above. It never receives anything you send us — not your name, your number, your message or your pictures — because none of that passes through it. The three above handle a customer; Google counts a reader.

The one thing that goes further than that is a before-and-after photo you have agreed we may publish: once it is on social media, the platform it is posted to and anyone who sees it has it. That is the whole point of publishing it, and it is why we ask first.

We do not sell, rent, or share your information for anyone else's marketing. We do not buy or rent contact lists. Apart from a photo you agreed we could publish, nobody outside this business and the providers listed above receives your details.

Text messages

We text you only if you contacted us first — by texting our number, or by submitting the quote form with the consent box ticked. We use those messages to reply about your quote, arrange your appointment, and check in while your 1-year warranty is active.

Some replies are automatic, and a person reads every message. Your very first text gets an immediate automatic reply setting out what we send, how often, that rates may apply, and how to reply HELP or STOP, with links to our Terms and Privacy Policy. What we need to price the job, or confirmation that your photos arrived, follows it. Those exist so nothing sits waiting for someone to be free. Your actual price and your appointment are written and sent by a person, who has read what you wrote.

Message frequency varies. We reply to your messages, and send up to 2 warranty check-ins per year while your 1-year warranty is active. Nothing else is sent on a schedule.

We never send marketing or promotional texts, and we never ask for consent by text.

Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. Both are handled automatically and take effect immediately. You can also just say so in whatever words you like, since a person is reading. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Stopping texts does not stop us replying by email if that is how you reached us.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties. The only companies that ever see your number are the service providers listed above that carry the message or the form submission to us, and they may not use it for anything else.

How long we keep things

Everything tied to a job — your contact details, the quote, the text conversation, the emails, and the photos — is kept while we are working with you and for at least the warranty year that follows, because a warranty claim is settled by comparing your headlights against what we photographed on the day. After that we keep it as our record of the work unless you ask us not to.

A published before-and-after photo stays up until you ask us to take it down.

Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or tell us to take a published photo down. Text (972) 458-4679, or reply to any email from us. There is no account to close and no login.

Those are separate requests and you can make either one without the other.

Children

This is a service for vehicle owners. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
